Martyrs Day
Today, many Christians have travelled, some even on foot, to Namugongo to celebrate Martyrs Day. Every year on 3rd June we remember 26 young Christians who were killed in 1886 because of their faith. They had become a thread to the King and did not follow his orders for evil practices.

Time for Planting.....
Currently food prices all over the world have shot up including Uganda. We have put much effort in planting our own food supplies, ie. maize, beans, sweet potatoes in order to survive this current food crisis. The weather here is quite good and favorable for these crops. Time for Holidays
Every holiday the kids are going to the villages to visit their relatives. Usually they are very excited to go. It is important for the kids to keep in touch with their extended families, because those families remain their "home". The local government discourages the idea of keeping children in children's homes without any contact to relatives. It would make it difficult for the children to resettle after their time with us.

Christmas in April

Child Sponsorship
CMU Children's Home is run through individual sponsorship for the children. Each child is suppossed to have 1 sponsor who pays 35 $, 30 Euros, 60.000 UGX (or more) per month.
17 of our children have not yet got permanent sponsors! If anyone is interested in helping such a child, please contact us on cmumission@hotmail.com

May we introduce ourselves: Gerald, Zephania, Rose, Justus, Monica, Carol, Denis, Deogracious, Nicolas, Moses.......it would occupy too much space to mention all our names. But we love our home called CMU and all the uncles and aunties who are taking care of us plus mummy and daddy. They will introduce themselves later....
The youngest kid will join baby class next year, otherwise we are in all classes, from 1 to 7 primary level and from 1 to 6 secondary level. One of us is already doing a vocational training in mechanics first year.
This week we are writing our exams for term one. Pray for us!

CMU Childrens Home
CMU Childrens Home, located in Mukono, Uganda is presently taking care of 57 orphans. Their ages range between about 3 and 23 years.
This project started in the year 2002 and we thank God for all his help and provision throughout this time.
